This article analyses contemporary forms of Indigenous activism linked to struggles for linguistic rights in contexts of increasing digitalization of social life. Drawing on an interdisciplinary dialogue between communication studies, digital anthropology, and activism studies, it proposes the concepts of hybrid territories and the interfacial character of certain activist practices. Focusing on the case of the #ArgentinaPlurilingüe campaign, developed in the context of Argentina’s 2022 National Census, the article examines how these practices articulate local, national, and translocal scales, translate territorially grounded demands into statistical and media languages, and publicly contest the recognition of Indigenous languages as collective rights. It also identifies tensions associated with infrastructural inequalities, discursive simplification, and uneven risks of public exposure.
