The Argentine Supreme Court has also devel- oped a doctrine in its jurisprudence, by virtue of which it has identified certain factors that would justify the change of pre- cedent. Curiously, such a development shows a strong influ- ence of the American stare decisis, both in the quotes made and in the rhetoric and argumentation used. However, studies on the topic are not replicated in Argentina, as in the northern country: although there are substantial investigations on judicial precedent (some of which cover the issue of changing prece- dents in the Court), there are no exhaustive analyzes –much less statistical or historiographical– on the alterations in the doctrine of the Argentine Court.
