The following paper focuses on the way knowledge is presented at a teacher education course. Spreading from the question about the best way to promote access to theoretical knowledge to in-service teachers we analized a course that focused on teacher intervention in personal narrative telling and story telling in kindergarten. The course was based on a reflection- on- action process. 2 of the 7 group meetings that were part of the course were analyzed employing the Multireferenced Analysis (Souto, 2010) and the Process of Constant Comparison (Glaser & Straus, 1967). The results showed the features this way of presenting knowledge assumed, particularly related to the possibility of experiment situations instead of just talking about them. The stages of analysis, metacognition and activities performed alternate in a spiraled way allowing the possibility to reflect. The concepts work as heuristic tolls that help understand the experimented situations. The strategies that are expected to be employed by the teachers to scaffold children´s development are not presented as advice or a norm, but they are deduced from the experience of the activity in which teachers take the part of children and the teacher educator the part of the teachers.
