Parental competencies play a fundamental role in the socioemotional and cognitive development of children. Although there are still few studies on their assessment from the perspective of children. Therefore, the main objective was to adapt and validate a brief scale to measure perceived parental competencies in children. The sample consisted of 236 children (55.1% female and 44.9% male; Mage=10.59; SD=.98) from Entre Ríos and Mendoza, Argentina, for EFA and 231 children (50.2% female and 47.7% male; Mage=10.21; SD=1.08) for CFA. The results showed a three-factor internal structure in both EFA and CFA, with better fit found in the abbreviated versions. Internal consistency was adequate in all dimensions. Having this scale will encourage new research and promote the design of intervention programs to promote positive parenting.
