For a long time in Argentina, the gendered disciplinary code of history supported the androcentric perspective. That is, in the ideas, discourses and practices the teaching of hegemonic male figures has been privileged, linked to power and knowledge, to the detriment of women and dissidents. From this framework, the article analyzes how, in recent decades, questions and practices have emerged that renew, problematize, and seek to reverse these biases. Methodologically, the research focuses on the analysis of the Curricular Designs of Social Sciences and History of the Province of Buenos Aires (2006-2012), from the first years of secondary school, where a temporality that extends from the origins of humanity to the 19th century is addressed. In addition, it is based on interviews conducted with teachers of the History Faculty at the National University of La Plata and surveys of graduate teachers and practitioners trained there. In short, the investigation highlights how in recent years certain teaching practices have been transforming school cultures by including women and the gender perspective as an explanatory category of history, critically interpreting power relations in the past and present.
