This article aims to study, through a case study analysis, the tensions and disputes that arose between the government of the province of Córdoba and Dolores Cobo, a rural landowner and producer, in the context of the tax reform promoted by Governor Amadeo Sabattini. Our aim is to recover, by virtue of this dispute - decided by the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation - the process of redefinition and updating of the latifundia problem, the arguments used in the name of social justice and the conception of the land tax as a way of imparting equity to society. To this end, this micro-analytical approach is based on cadastral records and especially on judicial sources, recovering the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation on the conflict in question, and the opinion of the Attorney General.
