The article studies the transformations in the warfare rationalities produced in the context of the information and communication revolution, taking as an object of analysis the documents produced by the RAND Corporation during the decade of the nineties. These pose a form of problematization of the changes in the modes of war and social conflict, interpreting them from a logic of macrohistorical evolution and constructing novel theoretical notions, such as those of "cyberwar", "netwar", "swarming" and "noopolitik", based on which it is suggested to redefine the doctrine and the military strategy. The centrality granted to information as object and means of confrontation, the primacy given to the reticular organization of the actors in dispute, the emergence of civil and uncivil society as a central antagonist, among other facets investigated, coincide in the definition of a "spectrum of conflict" that leads to the indistinction of the political, social, military and police forms of government of the different modes of social conflict, thus constructing any type of antagonism in an object of military intervention.
