This paper discusses the staging of urban integration policies, questioning the government's interpellation mechanisms that, through media supports, are oriented towards citizens. The analysis focuses on the spatial transformations that are carried out in a marginal zoning in the west of the city of San Luis (Argentina), showing that its inhabitants are exposed to a variety of subalternizing representation formats; especially through the media projection of their faces and testimonies. Thus, as part of the "Collaborative Urbanism Project with a Gender Perspective", the ideal of future integration mobilizes interventions on space. Meanwhile, the interpelation of the spectators favors the advance of the state machinery on the community and its territory, specifying states of confinement and closure. The information is based on documentary and digital newspaper sources, combined with observational records that allow us to discuss the images of the public scene.
