The work of Aníbal Norberto Ponce (1898-1938), who where a main figure in the Argentinean communist culture in the 1930s, reflects a path that begins with an attachment to liberal positivism tradition, embodied in the so-called "80s generation", and ends with a full allegiance to Marxism-Leninism of the Third International. The common denominator in the historiographical debates about this author, is the centrality that his writings had in gather two traditions; the liberal nineteenth century one and the Marxist-Leninist, born in the Soviet Union. This construction finally consolidated in 1935 with the Popular Front movement of the Comintern scenario, wich has determined the anti-fascist political-ideological profile maintained by the Argentine Communist Party for much of the 20th century. Based on a bibliographic framework about “Poncean” legacy, this work aims to analyze the more general controversies that have arisen and collect their most significant contributions to the pedagogical field.
