This article aims to recover and analyze the process of design, construction and socio-technical adaptation of "La Reconquista", a grain harvester for family agriculture designed by the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) and the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in the framework of a request promoted in 2009 by the Secretary of Family Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Argentine nation to promote local development processes. Methodologically, in-depth interviews were conducted with INTI engineers involved in the project and secondary sources were surveyed. From a socio-technical approach that conceives the technological and social as inseparable spheres, we are interested in problematizing strategies, articulations and links have deployed both actors and artifacts in the development of "La Reconquista", emphasizing the juxtaposition of economic, engineering, political, technological and social.
