La educación sexual en las escuelas argentinas: representaciones discursivas de género y sexualidad en los libros de texto para nivel secundario

Abstract

En este artículo, analizamos con herramientas del Análisis del Discurso (Hodge & Kress, 1979/1993; Martin & White, 2005) la primera serie de libros de texto elaborados para materias específicas de nivel secundario en Argentina que incorporaron la Educación Sexual Integral como atributo distintivo: la serie Llaves más, de Estación Mandioca. En particular, nos centramos en los materiales de las asignaturas Lengua y Literatura e Historia de primer año de nivel secundario. Nuestro objetivo consiste en indagar cómo se integra la ESI a los contenidos específicos de cada disciplina y qué representaciones sociales se ponen en circulación sobre el género y la sexualidad en estos libros de texto. Para ello, en una primera etapa de la investigación, abordamos la dimensión sintáctico-semántica de los textos, en la que analizamos la función ideativa del lenguaje; y, en un segundo momento, abordamos la dimensión semántico-discursiva de los textos con el fin de analizar las imágenes que configura el locutor tanto de sí mismo como de sus destinatarios, así como también la actitud que asume frente a las diferentes voces y posicionamientos discursivos que trae a escena.

The aim of this article is to analyze, within the framework of Discourse Analysis (Hodge & Kress, 1979; Martin & White, 2005) the first collection of textbooks developed for specific high school subjects in Argentina that incorporated Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE; ESI in spanish) as a distinctive feature. The Llaves más collection, published by Estación Mandioca, is the focus of our study, particularly the materials for the subjects Language and Literature and History in the first year of secondary education. Our aim is to investigate how CSE is integrated into the specific content of each discipline and what social representations about gender and sexuality are conveyed in these textbooks. To achieve this, in the first stage of the research, we analyze the ideational function of language in the syntactic-semantic dimension of the texts; and in a second stage, we examine the semantic-discursive dimension of the texts in order to analyze the identities that the speaker configures of themselves and their addressees, as well as the attitude they assume towards the different voices and discursive positions evoked.
