Horizontes laborales y orientaciones escolares: Miradas de estudiantes de nivel secundario

Abstract

Se describen desde la mirada de estudiantes de nivel secundario los horizontes laborales y su relación con las orientaciones de escuelas públicas de Caleta Olivia (Santa Cruz). Se toman en consideración las características socio-urbanas de emplazamiento de las instituciones y la modalidad de sus orientaciones formativas, sea técnica o bachillerato. Se trabaja con datos obtenidos de encuestas implementadas en 2018 a 487 estudiantes de primero, tercero y último año del nivel, así como entrevistas en profundidad realizadas entre2019 y 2020 a 24 estudiantes de último y anteúltimo año escolar.Los resultados confirman la relación entre formación escolar y horizontes de futuro laboral más estrechas en estudiantes de escuelas técnicas que en quienes asisten a escuela de bachillerato, también observamos discursos referidos a horizontes laborales múltiples que están presentes en estudiantes de ambas modalidades. Estas perspectivas se producen en el escenario laboral del golfo San Jorge, cuya matriz monoproductiva históricamente asociada a la extracción de petróleo presenta las características fluctuantes e inciertas del trabajo y el mercado global. Por tanto, la formación para el trabajo no deja de estar atravesada por esas tensiones e involucra aquellas que reclaman la formación de sujetos flexibles que actúen como empresarios de sí.

We proposed to describe from the perspective of secundary school students the labor horizons and their relationship with the training orientations of the public schools of Caleta Olivia (Santa Cruz). It works with data obtained from surveys implemented in 2018 to 487 students in the first, third and last year of the level, as well as in-depth interviews carried out between 2019 and 2020 with 24 students in the last and third year of school. While the results confirm the relationship between school training and future employment horizons that are narrow in students from technical schools than in those who attend high school, we also observe discourses referring to multiple work horizons that are present in students of both modalities. These perspectives are produce in the labor scene of the San Jorge Gulf, whose monoproductive economy historically associated with oil extraction presents the fluctuating and uncertain characteristics of labor and the global market. Therefore, training for work continues to be influence by these tensions and involves those that demand the training of flexible subjects who act as self-entrepreneur.
