Las causas del poder político en Francisco de Vitoria

Abstract

La cuestión que nos proponemos considerar son las causas del poder conforme las concibió Francisco de Vitoria, plasmadas en la Relección de la potestad civil, especialmente la causa formal de la misma. La importancia de la causa formal está en que de ella surge la denominación que recibe la organización o constitución concreta que estructura a cada ente y que le permite alcanzar su finalidad. En consecuencia, este punto posee particular trascendencia porque la causa formal estudia las características estructurales o institucionales en este caso, del poder de la República.The question that we intend to consider is about the causes of power as conceived by Francisco Vitoria, embodied in the reelection of civil authority, particularly the formal cause of it. The importance of the formal cause is that it gives rise to the name of the organization or concrete establishment that structures each entity and that allows it to achieve its purpose. Therefore, this point at issue has particular significance because the formal cause studies the structural or institutional characteristics of the power of the Republic.
