The thinking of Karl Mark has a considerable presence in much of the work of Jean-Luc Nancy. Since the publication of La Communauté désœuvrée (1983), it can be said that theoretical and practical requirement associated with the name of Marx, which is no other than the communist requirement, has raised in Nancy a permanent interest that can be witnessed in various of his texts of the last three decades. The purpose of my intervention is to throw light on the nancyan reception of this thinking, or more extensively, on certain interpretative operations that Nancy puts into practice for reading Marx, and with it, the philosophical and political state of the contemporary world.
