In this paper I propose to analyze the relations established by Emma Goldman between equality, diversity and social emancipation. To do so, I will focus especially on the analysis of some articles compiled in The Word as a Weapon and I will recover especially the arguments she outlines with respect to the problem of women’s emancipation. I will show how the arguments he presents there specifically for the case of women have as their background a series of profound and systematic ideas of a more general scope. I will conclude that Goldman’s proposal refers us to a critique that shows the need to reflect on the discourses and practices that make possible the reproduction of oppression at the level of subjectivity itself.
