Anotaciones sobre la primera cibernética: revisión de la síntesis informacional

Abstract

En este trabajo proponemos explorar la síntesis informacional llevada a cabo por la primera cibernética entre las décadas de 1940 y 1960; de acuerdo a nuestra lectura la síntesis enuncia que todo es información y, en consecuencia, todo es máquina. Asumimos un enfoque posthumano a partir del cual intentamos arrojar luz sobre algunos puntos discutidos de la ontología y la epistemología cibernética; prestamos particular atención al esclarecimiento de las nociones de información y máquina en el marco de las exploraciones cibernéticas tempranas y en relación con un contexto filosófico no antropocentrado ni esencialista. Esperamos que estas anotaciones aporten a una reconsideración del enfoque cibernético para el abordaje de temas y problemas centrales de nuestro tiempo signado por la ubicuidad de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación.In this work we propose to explore the informational synthesis carried out by the first cybernetics between the decades of 1940y 1960; according to our reading, the synthesis states that everything is information and, consequently, everything is machine. We take a posthuman approach from which we try to shed light on some discussed points of the ontology and epistemology of cybernetics; we take particular attention to the clarification of the notions of information and machine in the framework of early cybernetic explorations and in relation to a not anthropocentric or essentialist philosophical context. We hope that these annotations contribute to a reconsideration of the cybernetic approach to addressing central issues and problems of our time marked by the ubiquity of information and communication technologies.
