After a historical trajectory of inflation and hyperinflation in Argentina, it was possible, through the Convertibility Plan, to reach a period of almost ten years of price stability, where inflation rates were effectively contained. However, after the dramatic end of that plan, the problem of sustained increase in prices came to occupy a central place on the public agenda, in media headlines and, most importantly, in the concern of citizens of the country. This paper addresses the problem of the Argentine inflation in the period of the post–convertibility from a heterodox perspective, seeking to provide alternative readings that are being constructed in relation to this controversial phenomenon.
