First, the repertoire of translations will be characterized, and the work of literary importation within the local publishing field will be contextualized. In this regard, the study will explore Lila Guerrero’s role as an importer and her contribution to promoting a repertoire of Russian-Soviet literature aligned with Soviet communist positions, which reached its peak after World War ii. Second, the article will examine some of the prefaces accompanying her translations, focusing on the strategies employed in her translation practice. These practices relate to other translation approaches and outline a model of her own, guided by the commitment to translation as an activity that promotes ideological dissemination. In this way, her importation work marks Lila Guerrero’s integration into the networks of communist intellectuals.
