Decision making is defined as a constant process in a person's daily life, and varies according to its level of complexity. In general, the authors indicate a dichotomous division regarding the decision process, distinguishing between analytical decisions and intuitive decisions. Studies show that intuition, included in an emerging strategy, corresponds to an ideal habit when responding quickly using a recognized pattern, being an effective process in complex and imprecise circumstances. On the other hand, making a decision does not imply a simple rational process, but rather involves emotional aspects, i.e., that they arise from previous experiences and the consequences of them, determining a significant role during the decisionmaking process. The objective of this study was to analyze the decision-making construct in emerging situations from the multimodal approach of Lazarus (1983) regarding the variables or aspects of personality of Biological, Affective, Sensations, Cognitive and Behavioral types; They are compatible and can feed each other, giving rise to a more comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon when individuals find themselves facing risk or emerging situations.
