La “salida militar” como única opción frente al comunismo: la experiencia chilena desde la mirada nacionalista católica argentina (1970-1974)

Abstract

En el presente artículo se lleva a cabo el análisis del discurso de las revistas nacionalistas católicas Tiempo Político y Cabildo frente a la coyuntura política chilena, entre la presidencia de Salvador Allende y la primera etapa del gobierno militar liderado por el Gral. Pinochet. Este trabajo se concentra en el estudio de las modalidades de autorrepresentación positiva y de representación negativa de la Unidad Polpular y los partidos de la oposición, entre otros, mediante el uso de estrategias de legitimación deslegitimación.This article analyzes the discourse of the nationalist Catholic magazines Tiempo Político and Cabildo vis a vis the political situation in Chile between the presidency of Salvador Allende and the first stage of the military government led by General Pinochet. Itfocuses on how these periodicals built positive self-representations and negative representation of the Unidad Popular and the opposition parties, among others, by using different strategies of legitimation and discrediting.
