This paper will analyze the philosophical implications of the concept of eeriness that Lewis Carroll develops in Sylvie and Bruno. Eeriness allows the transfer from one temporal domain to another, which signals a rupture in the everyday temporal continuity and the irruption of a non-pulsed temporal vacuum that gives place to the event. The analysis will be carried out using the various philosophical concepts that Gilles Deleuze employs in The Logic of Sense, were Carroll’s work is decisive. The hypothesis put forward here, then, is that eeriness would be the threshold through which the narrator of the story enters a fairytale-like/dreamlike world without abandoning the everyday plane, so that a non-pulsed time, proper to the event, must be possible.
