Since the emergence of neoliberalism, a new trend towards monopolization has emerged in most Western economies. Latin American countries have seen the consequences of this trend more seriously due to their peripheral and dependent condition. In this article, we seek to account for strengthening the structural power of capital by analyzing sectoral interactions between branches of activity in Argentina. We study this problem using the complex networks approach, and we propose to approximate the structural power of capital through the PageRank index. The results found allow us to identify: First, some stability in the positions of the productive branches in the framework of intersectoral relations, especially in the leading positions in the ranking, and second, a positive link between the export insertion of the sectors and their participation in global valorization processes, and the index of centrality of their positions in the local productive system.
