We describe the production in terms of journals and articles of Iberoamerican social psychology and examine the bibliometric evidence that shows an increase in production, but that coexists with the dominant weight of production from the USA and, to a lesser extent, Europe, which constitute the center of the scientific system. The greater weight of US production is partly explained by the existence of more researchers in the USA than in Europe, Asia and Latin America. The bias of rejection of non-English-speaking and peripheral countries' production is described, as well as the dissatisfaction with the current review and publication system. An Iberoamerican collaborative virtual network is proposed as a form of scientific development.
