In this paper I propose to reflect on some personal and emotional issues relating with the investigation process, specially linked with the fieldwork. This fieldwork has been made in two secondary schools as a part of my doctoral dissertation. First, I will analyze this aspects based on Pierre Bourdieu concept of participant objectification. Secondly, I will analyze the specific aspect of approaching to the school as a "place" t and the beaten paths to enter / exit the field. Finally I will try to investigate the characteristics of the "being there" experience, and the possible effects of my presence in schools and the student´s image of myself and my work. This reflexion expect to be an intermediate point between theoretical and epistemological tools and experiences to think my hexis training as a researcher in the process of building my object of study.
