This essay proposes a brief tour of the different forms of exclusion that agroecology has suffered and the incipient state recognition of it as a viable alternative for food production, through a bibliographical and documentary review. Then, the proposals that some social movements have been developing in pursuit of institutionalizing their claims to have greater recognition by the State will be analyzed. The conclusions of this analysis focus on the reflection on the tensions and hybridizations of the views on the concept of agroecology and the possible future of its nationalization: the scaling/cooptation dichotomy.
