This article discusses the content of collective bargaining during the 90’s and postconvertibility in Argentina, considering selected sectors of manufacturing industry. In this matter, we aim to analyse if the significant increase of employment and collective bargaining that took place during the recent expansionary economic phase (2003-2007) was expressed in a reversion of labour flexibility contents introduced in the past decade. The study showed deep lines of continuity, especially in those sectors where the forms related to labour flexibility had been more intense during the previous decade. In this way, we point that the increase of employment and collective bargaining were not accompanied by a substantial reversion of flexibility contents that expressed the advance of capital against labour in the ‘90s. Therefore it become necessary to focus on the strong presence of structural changes that remains in the background of the recent labour dynamics.
