The article reconstructs a series of youth groups affiliated with the Yrigoyenista faction of the Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) at the University of Buenos Aires between 1923 and 1930. The research draws from a corpus of sources, including news from the political party press and publications associated with these entities and their members. The guiding hypothesis of this study posits that a segment of radical university youth played a pivotal role in the reorganization of the UCR, during the party's schism in 1924. Furthermore, it asserts that this process shaped a novel form of student activism, one that fostered a unique synthesis of reformist and radical contents. Building on this case study, the conclusions aim to provide insights into the process of party politicization of university youth and reflect on the contributions of youth history to the study of the political parties, as central agents in the development of the democraticelectoral experience after 1912.
