This article analyzes the changes generated by digitization and the use of new technologies in journalistic routines, news agendas and newsworthiness in the digital press centered on police news. To achieve this aim, we review a set of Latin American investigations with a focus on Argentina. The article concludes that digitalization transforms the production routines of journalistic information, diversifies communication channels, expands the modes of production and circulation of news without perhaps expanding the information offer; and particularly, in the case of police news, it allows new journalistic uses of traditional information sources through access to events through videos and images taken in situ.
