This article analyzes the resistance of the student movement of the UBA during the beginning of state terrorism in Argentina, at the end of 1974 under the so-called "Mission Ivanissevich" and the adminitration of Alberto Ottalagano. Unlike other writings on the period and the university, here we put the accent on the action of the student collectives. Thanks to this we contribute with a little mentioned element to explain the defeat of the Peronist, Marxist and/or reformist left groups: the internal crisis of the Buenos Aires student movement since before the beginning of the Mission, an intervening factor to understand the impact of the government and rectorate's actions against the student movement.
