This article analyzes the experiences of lesbian organizing in Argentina during the period 2000–2012. The main objective is to highlight collectives that promoted a federal and decentralized form of activism, expanding the movement beyond Buenos Aires to various provinces. Methodologically, the study employs a qualitative approach based on 22 in-depth interviews and the analysis of materials from the Potencia Tortillera Archive, digital media, and blogs. The findings highlight the transformative role of Information and Communication Technologies in the creation of “cyberactivism” infrastructures—which, for the cases studied, I suggest it is more accurate to refer to as networked activism— which made it possible to break through isolation and coordinate national networks such as Safo_piensa. The study underscores the consolidation of artistic and performative activism, and culture as strategic political tools, shifting the focus from victimization toward the affirmation of pleasure and dissent against the heterosexual regime. The analysis concludes that these groups prioritized cultural transformation and the construction of physical spaces of belonging, operating autonomously from the state’s institutional reforms.
