The most important neotectonic deformations in the province of Córdoba, around 33° S, are in the uplift front of the Comechingones range, concentrated in its western foothills and associated with reverse faults. However, analogous deformations have also been detected in the eastern foothills and in the surrounding plain, resulting from Quaternary activity of reverse faults, some of which are not emergent, generating very subtle surface morphologies. The objective of this work is to report new evidence of deformations and morphologies associated with the Pampayasta-Alejandro fault, in a section of the fault between Alejandro Roca and Bengolea towns, which allows confirming its Quaternary activity. The methods applied in the development of this research include, among others, the description of deformations in natural profiles and the geomorphological analysis of the drainage network. The results indicate that the fault section called Alejandro-Bengolea exhibits reverse movement, is not emergent, with a plane that tilts to the west and produces modifications in the surface runoff network. The deformations detected in non-cohesive sediments suggest allow us to determine that the fault has been active during the Quaternary.
