In contexts of global change to continue talking about spatial boundaries, at least from a geographic point of view, is debatable. Organizational forms recreate, coexist and resist the presence of novel events. In this dynamic the «urban–rural» scenarios begin to bond according to its functionalities, so voices as neorruralism, globalized rurality or pluriactive spaces appear and realize it but they are still approached from a dualistic perspective. As stated, a review of the various theoretical constructs that conceptualized the rural–urban space ratio at different historical moments will be carried on and from there begin to prove categories able to raise a concrete discussion, overlay variables and achieve a dynamic notion of these spaces regarding the empirization of the events that surround it.
