Técnica, tecnología, tecnocracia: Teoría crítica de la racionalidad tecnológica como fundamento de las sociedades del siglo XX

Abstract

La racionalidad tecnológica fundamenta en la voz de Herbert Marcuse a tres modelos sociales del siglo XX: la sociedad industrial avanzada (signada por el capitalismo monopólico), el marxismo soviético y el fascismo alemán. Queremos mostrar los componentes críticos que constituyen a la racionalidad tecnológica que ha copado la ciencia y la técnica y desde allí todos los saberes, en estrecha vinculación con la política y la sociedad, a partir de las investigaciones de la obra del frankfurteano.Herbert Marcuse has shown how technological rationality has supported three social models in the twentieth century: the advanced industrial society (marked by monopoly capitalism), Soviet marxism and German fascism. This paper shows the critical components that have shaped technological rationality which, closely linked with politics and science, have conquered science and technology as well as all kinds of knowledge. Herbert Marcuse’s thoughts will be the starting point for this analytical exploration.
