At the dawn of democracy in Buenos Aires, a group of very young students met in a common search for different acting techniques. With different ages and backgrounds, they gathered around a clown teacher who brought new teachings, ideas and experiences. The bonds of affection among the young people became stronger and, in the classes, situations, characters, scenes and plays began to develop. The emergence of a “we” outside the singularities worked as an emotional shelter that favored creativity in the intimacy of the meetings, and in the streets where they presented their acts. Thus, they collectively occupied a place forbidden during the years of military dictatorship: the public space. This article explores, from a qualitative and relational methodology, the history of El Clú del Claun. Starting from the affective turn, it explores the links between the members, the searches that united them and the affective dynamics that were at the genesis of the singularity of the group
