Emerging concerns are described from the Professional teaching practice in mathematics identified by advanced students of the mathematics teachers career course at the National University of Rosario, Argentina, in the context of the curricular activity Innovative Projects in Mathematics Education. There, students collaboratively propose socio-educational projects that seek to address, through educational innovation, real needs in the territory they recognize. Transversally, it is accompanied by testimonial allusions from the participants and a path is made through three moments (beginning, middle and end) that are distinctive in the production process of such innovations. In this way, we contribute with a specific teacher training device in mathematics that has been implemented for a couple of years, consisting of the formulation of projects, which seeks to encourage the sensitivity of future professionals to devise feasible improvement proposals, in their daily work lives within situated institutional frameworks.
