The coastal region of Uruguay River at the SE of the Corrientes province and NE of Entre Rios province yielded an important archaeological record of stone tools. A sample of lithic artifacts, most bifacially flaked, collected in that region were analyzed with the purpose to obtain technological information, primarily related on the reduction sequence analysis. Thus, it is suggested that the examined specimens correspond to unfinished early stages of bifacial thinning, mostly of projectile points and, to a lesser extent of the bifacial knives which are part of the assemblage accompanying them.
