The challenge of this paper is to reflect "the motley social form" and societal forms of resistance in the twentieth century, rethinking Zapatista initiatives of the Mexican Revolution (1910), to approach projects of social emancipation. We intend to address this process with some theoretical tools to account for the social power of a reality in constant dispute. This process also shows some peculiarities of the foundational moments when political power was reconfigured from the "modern territorial state" with its shape and form of government and democracy in its various projections: colonial, independent, national and neoliberal. For this, we address some "constitutive moments" (Zavaleta, 1986) as events, cycles, processes that identify the form of "political configuration" and forms of action and social organization of the people. The use of this category, created by the Bolivian philosopher and political scientist, warns us not to address these historical-political events in a linear, chronological of absolute way. Instead, we seek to recognize and reflect the tensions involved in "the long war" of Western civilization against the autonomy regimes.
