Literary biography makes itself a main question: what to do with someone´s personal archive. By his publisher assignment, Carlos María Domínguez made him that same question and inquire in the life and literature of Roberto de las Carreras without knowing what he would find. In that research, it appeared much more than a literary archive, documents that represented a family history appeared as well. Not only Roberto de las Carreras dealt with it but also Domínguez had to narrate, to make a story about judicial, political and personal documents. For that reason, De las Carreras´s life story is told through his family story, specially his mother´s. I´m interested in tracking the term legacy in family relationships and between biographer and subject.
