El turismo urbano-metropolitano y su configuración espacial en las ciudades: Análisis de la focalidad urbana en Bahía Blanca (Argentina)

Abstract

El presente trabajo, que forma parte del Proyecto General de Investigación: “Turismo y desarrollo: nuevos escenarios en la gestión integral de destinos turísticos en el Sudoeste bonaerense. Parte II”, que se lleva a cabo en el Departamento de Geografía y Turismo de la Universidad Nacional del Sur, tiene como objetivo: analizar la focalidad urbana (Dosso, 2005) en la ciudad de Bahía Blanca (Argentina), considerando los diferentes espacios-actividades que se desarrollan en la misma, y su aptitud para la utilización como sitios con funcionalidad turística y recreativa. Dicho estudio, se aborda desde una perspectiva geográfica, contextualizando las variables descritas en el marco del turismo urbano-metropolitano y teniendo como punto de reflexión las implicancias de la actividad en el espacio de la ciudad. A partir de lo expuesto, se analiza la distribución y configuración de los diferentes focos urbanos existentes en Bahía Blanca, identificando los distintos recursos que los conforman y determinando su estructuración en la trama urbana.The present contribution is part of the General Research Project: “Tourism and development: new scenarios in the management of tourist destinations in the southwest of Buenos Aires. Part II”, which takes place in the Department of Geography and Tourism (Universidad Nacional del Sur), aims to: analyze the urban focality (Dosso, 2005) in the city of Bahia Blanca, considering the different spaces-activities develop and its suitability for use as functional sites tourist and recreative. This study is approached from a geographic perspective, contextualizing the variables described in the context of urban-metropolitan tourism and having, as a point of reflection, the implications of the activity within the space of Bahia Blanca city. From the above, we analyzed the distribution and configuration of the different existing urban focus in Bahía Blanca (Argentina), identifying the various resources that shape and determine its structure within the urban plot.
