This work aims to follow the itinerary of a vessel painted with jaguars, found in a village domestic context in northern La Rioja, Argentina, from the middle of the first millennium AD. An array of macro and submacroscopic analyzes (of pastes, shape and metrics, modeling traces, iconography and ceramic performance) and microscopic analyzes (of pigments) are applied to understand its past, while visualizing and recomposing the container in its current condition (through archaeological drawing, manual reassembly and digital reconstruction). With the research, an Aguada stylistic variant is identified for the area under study.
