The Escuelazo was a historical process that marked the future of the teachers' struggle in Bahía Blanca (Argentina). From a research work based on a qualitative approach, with documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews with key actors, the main acts of conflict carried out by the self-convened teachers, the union sectors in education and the educational communities during the period 2001 are examined. The relevance acquired by the "self-convocations" is highlighted, to discern a set of elements that allows recomposing the resistance processes of the 1990s and understanding the continuities and ruptures in the collective action of the teaching group. It concludes with a series of specific analyzes that highlights the study of educational conflict in the midst of a process of broader social struggles and its interference in the articulation between different social sectors. Among them, the importance of collective organization based on the teaching bases themselves in their workplaces, the relationship with communities and neighborhood territories in a context of social degradation, and the formation of alliances between social forces to confront the neoliberal regime to a lesser degree scale.
