From certain proposals of phenomenology, ontological turn and the new materialism approach I describe my fieldwork between peasants (crianceros) and Mapuches of Argentina’s Neuquén province. I am especially interested in how they conceive the natural and the supernatural. A key issue is that nature and supernatural are not only concepts but are experienced and perceived. Drawing on the principle that the perception is open and that we do not perceive exactly the same world, I propose that we need to expand the concept of environment to the human, the social and cultural.
