Due to inflation and high energy costs in Argentina, efficient construction technologies are needed. This study explores recycled rubber and polyurethane mixtures for opaque building envelopes. Two configurations were evaluated: rubber as aggregate in bicomponent foam and as a base with foam as binder. Thermal conductivity and apparent density tests were conducted. Two compositions were selected for non-load-bearing walls and roofs, assessed according to Argentina’s Technical Suitability Certification (CAT), meeting Level B efficiency under IRAM 11605 in the country’s most populated areas. Construction systems were proposed for locations with winter design temperatures down to -5 °C and for all bioclimatic zones in summer. Results include thermal and hygrothermal characterization of the materials and systems, as well as benefits, limitations, and future research lines regarding their construction application.
