Jacques Lacan defines discourse as a necessary structure that exceeds the word and subsists in certain fundamental relationships. From this perspective, a discourse is not a discourse of an object, but a message that speaks about other messages. That is why, as Masotta indicates, the question which introduces the psychoanalytical practice can’t be other than “who’s speaking? and who is he speaking to?”. Starting from this idea, this article aims to demonstrate in which way, inside the lacanian theory, the notions of social bond and discourse appear necessary linked together, with the objective of producing a reflection about the capacity that the psychoanalysis has for making an input into the social theory. Taking into account this potential input towards a critical theory of the society, and trying to discuss the different relationships between the psychoanalytical discourse and its “others” –as an example, both Bataille’s and Foucault’s philosophies, among others– this work searches to explore the production of an “outside” of the social, starting from the ambivalent figure of the heterogeneous and what here we decided to call asocial.
