This working paper tries to find out the way in which VOX articulated a longe-durée feeling, which crosses a sector of Spanish society: resentment. We believe that the politics of resentment is the key to understanding this new global wave of radical rights, and this social space, from which these parties are founded —in this sentiment lie the most worrisome dangers to our democracies. To explore these hypotheses, we have conducted in-depth interviews (without claiming to be statistically relevant, just to illustrate the arguments and understand the concerns of VOX voters); we have analyzed the youtubers related to the Spanish radical right, and we have reviewed the speeches, interviews and appearances of the most relevant referents of the party.
