This work is part of a line of action proposed by the Institute of Anthropology of Córdoba (IDACOR), double dependence executing unit of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and the National University of Cordoba (UNC). This particular line consists in the intervention of professional archaeologists in order to evaluate the impact produced by subsurface excavation in cases related to the development of real estate projects. This was developed in order to fill a need by public and private agencies created from a municipal legislation requiring perform these tasks at selected locations of the City of Cordoba. In this sense, the purpose of meeting the requests are part of the legal basis for such actions and the criteria and procedures are established to undertake the different phases constituting an impact study and rescue, from the analysis methodology of a project, through a proposed classification and valuation of the entities that make up the Cultural Heritage, to the specification of criteria for the diagnosis of the impact and / or rescue. Within this framework, in February 2014 we were called to implement an archeological impact study on land under cadastral nomenclature 04-04-020-023 in the city of Cordoba. In this parcel, owned by the Bank of the Province of Córdoba, the architectural project corresponding to the Corporate Headquarters were planned. After a first inspection it was agreed with the company AMG S.A. the study after obtaining the appropriate permits and authorizations from CONICET, Municipality of Córdoba and the Government of the Province of Córdoba through its monitoring and enforcement of laws agencies related to the provincial Cultural Heritage management (Secretary of Culture Córdoba municipality and Provincial Córdoba Culture Agency). The study was conducted in two instances. The first developed between the months of April and June 2014, consisting of various actions related to the systematic archaeological excavation, registration, conservation and interpretation of material culture recovered in depths between the surface and about 2.5 / 3 m deep. The second stage implemented between February and August 2015 consisted of the monitoring of the excavation while using heavy machinery and allowed to reach greater depths. The execution of these tasks have been submitted to the authorities in five partial reports whose are integrated into the present in order to have all the information in one volume. As a result it was possible to retrieve information about land use in the last two hundred years. Previous occupations have been masked or destroyed mostly by architectural interventions in the mid-nineteenth century and early twentieth century. However more than 30,000 objects recovered during the archaeological project implementation allowed us to interpret the life of the people who inhabited these spaces, as well as local and international production and trade networks where they were integrated. Along with this, we managed to recover significant portions of architectural structures that probably correspond to the eighteenth century, being the oldest constructive feature found on the parcel. This was seriously intervened by construction works in the twentieth century, so its recovery was guided looking for later display in the new building, involving the possibility of preserving part of the archaeological heritage. This action, perhaps the most difficult for the massiveness of objects, allowing the implementation of a novel technique for the recovery of archaeological objects in the city of Córdoba.
