In September 2011, workers at the Kraf t Foods Company paralyzed operations at the whole factory in protest of sexual harassment suf fered by a female coworker, demanding consequences for the harasser, a leader in the sector. This article proposes a situated analysis of the articulation between gender and class, between demands that appear as gendered (such as sexual harassment) and its transformation into a demand by the local trade union organization. Are we talking about a “women’s strike”? Are we facing a “workers’ strike”? To carry out this reflection, which far from being individual account is that of the whole work team, we will focus on the story of the harassed worker and the reconstruction of the facts made from a set of interviews with male and female workers, and union reps from the plant
