The Argentine Wine Corporation (COVIAR) was considered, in its early years, an example for other productive chains of joint work, consensus and design of long-term objectives. However, conflict was not absent. How was the process that led to differences and explicit conflicts between the main business organizations of the winemaking activity? This analysis will allow to register how heterogeneity of interests within the capitalist class went, in a few years, from combining interests and converging towards unity to making explicit and publicizing sectoral disputes. Some questions arises. To what extent is it possible to standardize an interest inside an agro-industrial activity when starting from such divergent sectoral interests and positions? Is it possible to build unity with a long-term permanence and able of transcending different economic or institutional situations?
