From illusion to disenchantment names the passage of the design of a series of educational policies linked to digital inclusion to its enactment (Ball, et.al, 2012) in an every day life that is sustained by those who face the task of teaching in conditions which are highly unstable and materially precarious. Here we try to describe the ways in which teachers think and process digital inclusion in institutions located in contexts of extreme urban poverty, attending to the senses, tensions and negotiations that take place in schools. The working hypothesis that we will develop is that as promises of magical solutions the policies of digital inclusion go through a path which ranges from illusion to disenchantment and from there it becomes the daily discontent of teachers in schools.
