Algunas respuestas sobre los impactos del uso de plaguicidas para el control de plagas en agroecosistemas de la Región Pampeana

Abstract

Reflexionar sobre lo aprendido en el transcurso de las dos últimasdécadas sobre las investigaciones realizadas por el equipo detrabajo respecto al destino y los efectos biológicos de plaguicidas ennuestros ecosistemas, permitió reconocer la relevancia de los logrosy sus limitaciones, particularmente teniendo en cuenta la magnitudy escala del problema. Ello se relaciona con una gran variedad ytipo de compuestos (en gran parte sintéticos) que se incorporan enla estrategia del control químico de plagas, la extensión regional,la intensidad y frecuencia de uso, junto al escaso conocimiento delas concentraciones ambientales en la región y los impactos en los ecosistemasThinking on what we learned in the course of the last two decades on the research conducted by the team regarding the fate and biological effects of pesticides in our ecosystems, allowed us to recognize the relevance of the achievements and limitations, particularly given the magnitude and scale of the problem. This is related to a variety and type of compounds (largely synthetic part) which are incorporated in the strategy of chemical control of pests, the regional extension, the intensity and frequency of use, as well as with the limited knowledge of the environmental concentrations in the region and impacts on ecosystems.
